Bejoy obtained his Bachelor’s degree in physics and Master’s in biology from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Kerala, India. During his masters, he usedthe inducible CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing system to study shoot regeneration in Arabidopsis thaliana. For his bachelor, he developed the dual-arm light sheet microscope to study growth dynamics in Allium cepa. He will be working on the mechanical gradients emergng in developing stems.
