Congratulations to Dr Lukas Hoermayer who received the Schrödinger Fellowship from the Austrian Science Fund. This fellowship will support his project on the origin of anisotropic growth in plants and will allow him to continue investigating how cells break symmetry as they transition from spherical to elongating shapes. Lukas has been an important part of The Mechanobiology Lab and we are very proud of his achievement. We look forward to continuing our work together and following the progress of his project.
