Our lab attended the Trilateral Early Career Researchers Symposium held at L’École normale supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon). Mateusz presented our recent work on the relationship between cell size and mechanical properties, and he also took part in the panel discussion on career paths in Europe. This two day event brought together young scientists from the Department of Plant Molecular Biology (DBMV) in Lausanne, the Plant Reproduction and Development Laboratory (RDP) in Lyon, and the Center for Plant Systems Biology at VIB in Ghent to exchange ideas, build collaborations, and reflect on career development. The program included scientific sessions on biomechanics, cell biology, and synthetic biology, along with networking activities and discussions on leadership, grant writing, and career transitions. Many thanks to the organizers for such a well run meeting!
