The Mechanobiology Laboratory investigates how mechanical heterogeneities shape plant development, with a focus on growth regulation, cell wall properties, and the physical principles that guide tissue patterning. Our group brings together a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of friendly and interactive people who combine quantitative biology, molecular approaches, microscopy, and computational modeling. The lab will start in August 2022, and we look forward to building a collaborative environment where students and researchers can explore fundamental questions in plant mechanics. Please stay tuned for upcoming openings as we continue to grow and establish new research directions.
